Re: Pocketpedia issues

I seem to have cracked it. Export database from where it was (inside a subfolder of documents). Open Bookpedia with OPtion key, and choose default database. Import the exported database, and now I have it in its default location. Sync and all went well. But that still leaves the question as to wheth...

Re: Pocketpedia issues

OK, I think I can see why there is an issue, there must have been a change in the Pedias that I had not kept up with. I tried deleting and resyncing, and the covers appeared to sync, but I still had the same issue. However, I realise that my Pedia databases are not where you said. For some reason (w...

Pocketpedia issues

I have the latest version of Pocketpedia on the latest iOS, but I don't use my iPad very often. I recently tried to open Pocketpedia's Bookpedia database, and every time I tried opening Library just took me back to the iPad Home screen. The Pocketpedia CDPedia Library and DVDPedia Library opened fin...

Re: 5.0 is here!

A couple of questions.

How long will the discount last for. I am travelling for several weeks, and online payments are difficult for me.

Is there a discounted bundle upgrade price? I bought book, cd, and DVD pedias as a bundle and would want to upgrade all three.

Re: Accept network connections

Yes, but the thing is that I can see "allow incoming connections" for the Pedias in my firewall list when I open the System Preference.

And even though these rules are present, I still get asked if I want to allow them when I open a Pedia after a restart.

Re: Accept network connections

I tried that and it did not work. I can even see the "accept incoming connections" for the Pedias in my list of firewall rules, and yet I get asked again if I want to accept them when I restart. Fortunately it isn't a major issue as I keep my computer on most of the time, only restarting i...

Accept network connections

I frequently get the message "Accept incoming network connections? Deny, Allow." I think it occurs each time I open a 'Pedia after restarting the computer. I think it's an Apple issue, as I have found it with another program. Caused by synching to Pocketpedia and having the Leopard firewal...

Re: searching in Pocketpedia

Just noticed another issue, which occurs in Bookpedia but not in CDPedia or DVDPedia. Clicking on one of the alphabet buttons just does not go to the relevant letter.

Re: searching in Pocketpedia

Definitely not the iTouch itself. I have turned it off and then on again. I get the same issue in Pocketpedia, whereas other apps (Notes, Safari bookmarks, and others) let me type as fast as I can. But the issue in Pocketpedia occurs immediately after I have typed the first letter, it doesn't wait t...

searching in Pocketpedia

I tried yesterday for the first time to search in Pocketpedia. I had problems, which maybe my iTouch or may be the program. I typed in a letter, then the next letter I typed one of two things often happened. It would either not show up on the keyboard so I tried it again and ultimately found it had ...

bibliography

Out of curiosity (I'm certainly not going to change) I looked at what Delicious Library 2 offered. I found a feature it has that Bookpedia doesn't that might be of great use to academics. It will export a bibliography in a number of standard formats (including both forms in the Chicago Manual of Sty...

Re: CDPedia view styles

Thanks. I have it more or less OK. There's one issue of fussy style that it would be nice to get right. Using [track:name] - [track:artist] produces a dash between the name and the artist, which is useful. But for CDs with no artist name (perhaps because the whole CD is btone person) it gives an ugl...

CDPedia view styles

I was running through the various templates for view styles (including some I had made for myself). I notice that all of them that have both track title and artist name show as Artistname Tracktitle. I would much prefer the option of Tracktitle (Artistname). Maybe this could be done as a template in...

Show *some* empty

Currently, in the Add/Edit window, we have the choice to Show Empty or Hide Empty. In practise, I would always like to have Location showing when adding or editing, so that I can enter it, but would like most of the other empty fields hidden so as to avoid clutter. It would be nice to have the optio...
