Upgrade to version 5.0
I keep my books in smart collections by year read. When I upgraded to Bookpedia 5 on my Mac, I lost all the books for 2012. Any ideas whiy?

That did it. I had set my date format in Preferences to %Y. Intending to have the field only hold the year. And in the parameters for the smart collection I had, as I reported, set the criterion to "Last Read is 2006" for example. Your suggestion didn't work until I went back to preference...

Custom Fields
Is it possible to change the names of Custom Fields -- such as "custom 1"? Could I, for instance, change it to read "number in series"? Or any other thing?
