Incorrect Cover Art

In attempting to correct the problem I was experiencing in the thread I created called "Trouble Adding Titles", I recently completed the addition of around 60 DVDs to DVDpedia. Tonight I realized that the DVD cover that correlates to each of these newly entered titles is incorrect. Specifi...

Re: Trouble Adding Titles

Success (pretty much). I still seemed to have trouble reading blu ray titles with the isight, but the isight read all of the dvds that I attempted to scan. I would say that everything worked pretty normally, thank you again. I will upgrade back to the latest v5 so I can update pocketpedia. Thanks ag...

Re: Trouble Adding Titles

I'm sorry Conor. I thought I was using the older version that Nora suggested until I read your reply. Sorry about that! I will get back to you with an update as to how this works. Based on testing 3 titles, I found that a DVD that would not scan or come up with the UPC code last night when I was unk...

Re: Trouble Adding Titles

I continue to have a problem. I went back to v 4.6.5, but none of the scanning works. The system does not recognize either numeric codes or bar codes, the only way for me to enter dvd titles is by typing in the name. This does not work well either, as a few dvd titles were not recognized and none of...

Re: Trouble Adding Titles

Hello Nora, I have just gotten around to messing with this. In attempting your suggestion of downloading an older version - I did this and the first title I attempted to enter was fine. (interestingly, it worked via isight scanner but not by entering the UPC code. In looking at the code that came up...

Re: Trouble Adding Titles

Thank you both for the responses. Nora, I will update the software and see if that helps the issue. I will get back to you after the holidays to let you know if any of this helped my problem.

Thanks again & MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Re: Trouble Adding Titles

More specifically - I just noticed that a title that I am attempting to scan via isight is showing a UPC number that does not match the number on the blu-ray. The scan turns up no meaningful searches, & there is seemingly nothing I can do to change this. I am using DVDpedia 4.6.5 on a mac runnin...

Trouble Adding Titles

I have 1200 or so movies in my DVDpedia database, but lately I have had a problem adding new titles without typing in the name of the movie. If I enter the numeric bar code or scan using my hand scanner the DVDpedia program simply searches each site but never connects with the correct title. It is a...

Re: Pocketpedia - Deleting a Title in a Collection

Well, this is embarrassing. I guess I was confused because I can't duplicate the issue either. I need to do some cleaning up & organizing in my PP3, so if I can replicate what I thought happened ( ) I will let you know. In the meantime, you are very welcome and I meant every word! I thoro...

Pocketpedia - Deleting a Title in a Collection

Sorry if this has been discussed, I looked for a similar topic. I recently deleted a DVD from a specific collection in PP3 & the title was removed from the Library too. I am assuming this is not intentional so I wanted to post it here. Please let me know if I am misunderstanding what I am doing ...

Re: Certain DVD Titles Display as "Not Synched" in PP2

BTW, I am running DVDpedia 4.6.1 & using PP2 - I'm not sure how to tell the version for PP2. My mac OS is 10.6.3.

Certain DVD Titles Display as "Not Synched" in PP2

I recently went through my DVDpedia collection & made changes to the titles of some of the movies in my collection. The reason for doing this was to have everything display in a more uniform manner in both the pedia program and Pocketpedia2. The changes to the titles was done to remove unwanted ...

Re: DVD Cover Art in Pocketpedia

Thanks Nora. I'm happy to say I re-synced w/ the USB cable attached & it did work - all of the covers are now showing. Nice job. Because you guys are so responsive to this stuff, I will mention that even with the USB cable plugged in (it was connected to my mac, not the wall) my phone would stil...
