Re: DVDPedia: IMDB - Add New Movie failing
Also started having the same problem again -- started happening after I installed the Beta to fix the Languages problem.

Re: DVDPedia: IMDB - Add New Movie failing
FWIW, my problem was fixed by making sure that IMDB was first in my search list.
One problem that continues -- the Language field loads a bunch of tech gibberish when initially loading the movie or show from the IMDB

Re: DVDPedia: IMDB - Add New Movie failing
So looking looking at those Pedia Maintenance Suggestions suggestions: they assume that you are porting (copying) apps to your new Mac. I did not do that, I set it up as a new Mac, I just downloaded stuff directly from the App Store (for stuff like DVDPedia) or from their website (like VLC or IINA)....

Re: DVDPedia: IMDB - Add New Movie failing
FWIW: this only seems to be happening with very new releases — the 2019 “Roswell, New Mexico” loaded fine via IMDB

DVDPedia: IMDB - Add New Movie failing
Search (Add New Movie) failing with IMDB -- tried it with a bunch on new series, including Obi-Won Kenobi; Star Trek: Brave New Worlds; Suspicion; We Own This City In each case, the only workaround was to search on the IMDB website via Safari, copy the number - e.g. tt8466564 paste it in the DVDPedi...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?
Keep in mind that Rosetta was working in the other direction- running old PowerPC software on the Intel CPU. Yes there may be a future Rosetta running Intel apps on ARM, but not the other way around. Apple is a lot less worried about software not being upgraded as they were when they switched from c...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?
I think they are addressing more than the single GPU issue with the design. In fact it's likely the final design is like the Cheese Grater, they are just sitting around trying to figure out how to make it unique and special, so as not to look like admiting defeat and going backwards to the previous...

Re: Criterion Collection Spine #s in DVDPedia
Thank you - the Wikipedia list is much easier to quickly use than the Criterion website.

Criterion Collection Spine #s in DVDPedia
Is there a simpler way for adding the spine number of a Criterion Collection DVD or Blu-ray other then setting up a custom field for it in DVDPedia and looking up the spine # on the back of the box or look it up on their website e.g. Spine #140 - https://www.criterion.com/films/150-8-1-2 and then ty...

Re: PocketpediaTV playback?
Still hoping that PocketpediaTV will soon have the ability to remotely play my DVDPedia movies through my Apple TV. Anyone else interested in this feature? Mike Petros Yes indeed: my dream, instead of having PocketpediaTV to re-invent the playback wheels, which must be a massive work, to interface ...

Mojave DVD Player bug - drops .dvdmedia support
DVD Player stopped opening .dvdmedia files in Mojave - you need to put DVDs in Folder/Video_TS format. (Which .dvdmedia files are, just inside a container) "Bug" may be the wrong word - I'd bet this was a planned decision at Apple - no idea why, DVD Player has supported .dvdmedia since the...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?
Obviously I agree with you, and really hope you are right, but the primary reason they had to drop the Trash Can and move to their future “modular” Mac Pro according to what Craig Federighi told John Gruber et al was that they made the wrong bet on the GPU future and simply could not run the post 20...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?
Thanks for the info on how you use DVDpedia. DVDpedia recognizes .ts files and .mpg. I have added .mpeg to the beta to also be imported. I never tried the beta, because it doesn't work on macOS 10.11.6 (The last El Capitan that my 2009 Mac Pro can/does run - where unfortunately I keep all my video ...

Re: Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?
Thanks so much! The .mpg gets renamed to .mpeg by MPEG Streamclip saving the edited version. Not sure what (if any metadata) are coming through from TiVo, and my approach may not be helpful - but this is what I've always done: Examples: cTivo downloads The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon-Cord &am...

Importing downloaded TiVo files to DVDPedia?
I used to generate my Music Video collection (from late night talkshows, SNL etc.) via EyeTV - and DVDPedia nicely imports from EyeTV. But few years ago I dropped EyeTV for TiVO, and I generate my music videos by downloading shows to my Mac using cTivo and edit out the clips I want to save using MPE...
