Re: Track artists in Pocketpedia(CDpedia) on iPod?
I have to say I would also find that incredibly useful! If I remember, it was in Pocketpedia at one point in the past. It's pretty important for my usage...to make sure I don't buy something I already have!

Re: Search not working for various artists comps
... UPDATE zentry SET zcustomtag1 = (SELECT GROUP_CONCAT(ztrack.zArtist, ', ') FROM ztrack WHERE ztrack.zentry = zentry.z_pk); .exit[/code] ... The third command is the magic, it sets customtag1 to all track artists joined by a comma (I have to thank NoisyScott for the original SQL join command for...

Re: Search not working for various artists comps
Searching track level artist in Pocketpedia made the search very slow as it's bits of information that have to be load for each CD that normally Pocketpedia loads on a needed basis. We are working on improving the speeds of that search so that we can include it in the future with the search all pre...

Re: Search not working for various artists comps
I'm up on the current versions of Pocketpedia and CDpedia. I have "search all fields" turned on, but when I search in Pocketpedia for an artist whose work appears in one or more compilations, the tracks are not found. I can see the artist's name when I open a compilation and look at the tr...

Re: CDPedia and itunes artwork
I'll try and duplicate this again. I used the new beta and had the same problem. It definitely seems to have to do with excluding an import, deleting it and all its data, and attempting to import again. The hangs seem to occur at different points in the import. I've emailed a couple of logs where t...

Re: CDPedia and itunes artwork
Thank you for the console and crash report. It seems like there is a corrupted image in your iTunes that is causing the import to fail. I have updated the beta to print out the name of the album that it's currently going to importing the image for so that you can see the last printout in the consol...

Re: CDPedia and itunes artwork
I restarted it and the DB was empty, so I tried the import again but it hung at 100% CPU. Here's from the console: 5/8/12 1:07:06.834 PM Firewall: CDpedia is listening from 0.0.0.0:8130 proto=6 5/8/12 1:09:59.992 PM [0x0-0x58c58c].com.bruji.cdpedia: CDpedia(10396,0xac3212c0) malloc: *** mmap(size=80...

I wonder...I started playing music from iTunes around that time...any possibility it triggered the crash?

Re: CDPedia and itunes artwork
...the latest CDpedia beta . I downloaded the beta and installed it and opened it. Then I excluded my last import from my Library and deleted it. Next I started a new import from iTunes and went to lunch. When I returned CDpedia wasn't running. In my console listing I found this: 5/8/12 12:23:13.38...

Re: Search not working for various artists comps
...the artists at track level... We'll look at adding them for the next version... As for the search for artists on track level, you're correct that the program does not search those. We took it out since the search response became too slow for testers with larger collections. We'll see if we can s...

Re: CDPedia and itunes artwork
Oh, one more question. Maybe it's just the beta version or maybe it's been answered elsewhere (I searched though), but the My Ratings values don't seem to match how iTunes sees them. First, I rate tracks but not albums in iTunes. iTunes calculates it's predicted album rating from those tracks I've r...

Re: CDPedia and itunes artwork
Thank you! It's so much easier to simply import everything instead of breaking it up into chunks. As far as I can tell, it's working fine. And even for big collections, it's way faster than before! The latest beta should fix any issues for those few having issues with the number of covers that can b...

Want to upgrade but my email address has changed!
Hi, I finally got around to trying out version 5 of CDpedia and I want to purchase it. When I get to the upgrade page, the fields are pre filled to my old email address. I'm afraid to change it because I read in the forum that if I use a different email address, I won't get the upgrade discount, but...

Re: I'm really really frustrated about iTunes Cover Import
...import the covers genre by genre, but it worked fine I'm glad it worked Harald! In my case it took considerably longer than 4 hours, but I think it may have been because I was discovering and cleaning up so many minor glitches in my metadata that tripped up my process. The one thing I'd suggest ...
