Re: Pocket pedia black screen
After updating to the new version the screen went black? What's up? I came to report this exact problem. Pocketpedia 3.2 just presents a black screen upon startup. It doesn't crash or hang (apparently); it just doesn't do anything. So I can find out more please send me all the messages from your co...

Re: Preference to NOT omit article in sorting, PLEASE!
Well… I know French… I'm French! and I know "Tea" is "Thé", but you are still wrong because "TEA" is "THE" as accents in French are discarded when writing in all capitals, which BTW is common for titles. But academic points of grammar aside, file names are of...

Re: Preference to NOT omit article in sorting, PLEASE!
- The Finder does not omit articles in file names, hence my sorted list in DVDpedia is different than my Finder files listing, a real pain to reconcile Finder with DVDpedia. - Foreign words can be a English article. For instance, "the" in french means "tea", and I am sure there ...

Re: DVDpedia: Files with quotes in the filename won't open
Thanks for the quick response Conor; it seems to be working now (though I'll soon post another bug )

DVDpedia: Files with quotes in the filename won't open
DVDpedia seems to have an error where files with quotation marks in the filename, e.g. Some Music Group "The Popular Song".mkv, don't get opened in VLC. In fact "FILE_PATH" never gets passed to the Applescript in my testing.
Is this something that can be fixed?
Thanks!

Re: Lock fullscreen view
So you'd like the X to disappear in the 'locked view' to avoid accidentally choosing it, is that correct? Yes. (Because you mentioned the theater setup being keyboard-less so hitting the q or Esc on the keyboard aren't an issue I assume.) I was going to write about how I still needed to use Esc fro...

Re: AppleScript commands
Thanks Nora. As you can probably tell (between this and my "lock fullscreen" suggestions) I'm having a bit of an problem keeping DVDpedia in fullscreen mode. I use it to serve up my film library on my home theatre and sometimes there are issuses that pop up and knock DVDpedia back to list ...

Lock fullscreen view
Another request I have for the pedias is the ability to lock the view to fullscreen. As it is now (in DVDpedia) when fullscreen is active hitting certain keys on the keyboard will deactivate it. In addittion, there's the "X" with the controls at the bottom of fullscreen view--easy to deact...

AppleScript commands
Would it be possible to get an AppleScript dictionary added to the pedias (namely DVDpedia)? The two most important commands that I'd like to request are is fullscreen as boolean and fullscreen as a verb.
Thanks for listening!

DVDpedia: Full Screen playback broken
I'm surprised that I haven't seen this here already—I hope it's not just me! I've tested the following using DVDpedia 5.0.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.2, and 5.0.3 beta 15 . This happens for all versions except 5.0.0: When using Full Screen Mode entries with more than one linked file will not execute either of the...

Re: Sound and Languages fields
I know I'm a little late here but I thought I'd share my method of cataloguing; I also know Alex won't like this  The sound can be—especially with BDs—a mix of formats and channels; a single disc could have English DTS-HD MA 5.1, English PCM original mono, French Dolby Digital 5.1, Czech DD 4....

DVDpedia full screen cover size
I find that there is a lot of extra space between the covers in full screen mode—space that could be reduced to allow for better artwork. It'd be great if we were able to control the size of the cover images in full screen mode without reducing the number of on-screen covers (or, I guess, even incre...

Re: DVDpedia links don't open as fullscreen in VLC
Thank you; that solved the issue. Though this now brings up another question: Is it possible to leave the script accessible in your full releases? I ask because this gives the option of much greater customization for those of who need/want it. In my case I have my Blu-ray discs ripped to MKV and I u...

DVDpedia links don't open as fullscreen in VLC
I have VLC set to open files in fullscreen. This works as expected when I click on a linked file in DVDpedia's main window; however, when I select the files from DVDpedia's fullscreen browser they open in VLC in a window. Is there any way to change this so that I can continue to be lazy and not manu...

Calculating Tax
Most of the time I purchase multiple DVDs at a time. The store receipts have individual pre-tax prices and a single line for the total tax. Thus, when I enter the price info into DVDpedia, I have to calculate the total price paid for each entry. I'd like the option for the Pedias to automatically ca...
