Reckon I can live with that! The only other date field I use is Date Added.
Loving the software... it's truly turned into one of my 'sovereign apps'.

DVDPedia: Time element in Last Seen field
If I watch more than one film in a day I'd like to be able to look back and know what order I watched them in. It would be great if the 'Last Seen' date field could be made into a date and time field.

Re: DVDPedia - extended characters in html exports
More info -- it doesn't matter what I do, there is still some kind of mistranslation going on because pasting the correct character into the name and re-exporting as HTML, it still comes up wrong, e.g. "Pedro Almodóvar" is coming out as "Pedro Almod贸var" Screenshot of the above t...

Re: DVDPedia - extended characters in html exports
Hi again Nora, I have tried to copy / paste that character in to the Writers field from a variety of places (here, random web pages, text editor) and it does a weird thing. It treats the Paste as if I've pressed comma, then inserts the extended character entity on its own as if I've pressed comma ag...

Re: DVDPedia - order weird sorting by Rating in MyFancyIndex
Hi Nora,
Thanks for this and sorry for the delay. I have just installed the latest update so I am on 5.0.2. Not sure if that was the 'next release' you were referring to, but if so, this still seems to be broken.
Cheers from 'sunny' England
Bruce

DVDPedia - order weird sorting by Rating in MyFancyIndex
Hi again. When I sort by My Rating in the web output of MyFancyIndex (see http://oddpupil.org/ilatest for example) it puts all the 5-stars at the top, then starting at 1-star the rest are sorted in ascending order. So it goes something like: 5 5 5 5 1 1.5 2 3 3.5 4 4.5 4.5 Any ideas? Many thanks aga...

DVDPedia - extended characters in html exports
Hi. I'm on the latest DVDPedia and using the excellent "MyFancyIndex" template to export a bunch of films. Problem is that certain characters, such as the o-acute in Almodovar (Almodóvar) and the o-slash in Soren (Søren) are appearing as Chinese (I think) characters. If you go to http://od...

Re: DVDpedia - right-click launches custom URL
Genius, thank you! On a related note, the "instant search" feature in some of the Details views, which you are referring to, only seems (if applied to the pedia itself) to filter the current view, so in the case that you are looking at for example a smart collection based on a Director, an...

Re: DVDpedia - international 'Rated' data
Much appreciated Conor, I am going to have a look at this now.
When you say 'next version' do you mean v6, or the currently in beta (I think still?) 5?

DVDpedia - right-click launches custom URL
Would be great if I could right-click a movie and choose "Look up on RogerEbert.com..." Other folks might have different favourite reviewers so the ability to create your own URL and parameters, and your own menu text, would be a plus. I know this is not likely to be high up your list but ...

DVDpedia - international 'Rated' data
Hi Conor and the team. I know this has been requested before here and also somewhat here but these were a while back. Is there any way that UK ratings, preferably from the BBFC but if not then from IMDB's "See all ratings for this movie" page, can be gathered instead of the US ones, which ...

Re: DVDpedia - quick Smart Collections for actors, directors
Hi Conor, thanks for the reply. Maybe it would be easier to add a 'Duplicate Smart Collection' right-click menu item, so all you'd need to do after is Edit it and change the criteria, rather than start again each time. You've got a copy of my database now (emailed to Nora at her request) so if you d...

DVDpedia - quick Smart Collections for actors, directors
Hi. I've just discovered DVDpedia and wish I had sooner. I love the interface and it's easy to tell that a lot of work has gone into making it so smooth and fluid, and the attention to detail is excellent. I have spent a fair while creating Smart Collections of my favourite actors and directors. It ...
