Thank DanThe.
I’ll upgrade to Sequoia. If there are problems I’ll post any warnings.

MacOS Sequoia
Has anyone updated to Sequoia on the Mac? Has it had any effect on the Pedias? I appreciate that the Pedias are on hiatus, and one programme shouldn't stop me from upgrading, but CDpedia and Bookpedia are very important to me and I don't want them to crash through incompatibility. I'm currently runn...

Re: CDpedia Export to CSV with track information
Thank you Finewine. I’m not confident, but like learning new things so I shall slowly give it a go. I appreciate your advice re back ups. My concern is that “something” deep in the MacOS software went wrong. iTunes (or whatever it is called these days) started self deleting songs. Time Machine faile...

CDpedia Export to CSV with track information
As a belt and braces thing, following a MacOS software failure, I have CDpedia working again (thanks Finewine). I would like a second string back up database and a spreadsheet seems to be an answer. I have used the export to CSV function in CDpedia but it has only sent the Artist / Album title / lab...

Re: CDpedia won't save
Thank you Finewine. I’m, frustratingly, away from my Mac for the next two days but I’ll give your suggestions a go on my return. Worst case I was thinking of a total deletion then a reverse sync from my iPad.

CDpedia won't save
I have an issue, which Apple can't help with. Due to problems I have (with their help) had to erase my hard drive and rebuild things from Time Machine. I have added an album to CDpedia today and it will mot let me save and gives the following message Part of the path to the database file is not writ...

Re: Synch your Pedia's from iDevice to iMac
I’m a little confused. Is syncing only one way? I do use the Mac version as the “master”. It is, after all, backed up in several ways. I am starting to catalogue books in an upstairs room (a long ongoing project). I have used my iPhone to do the job as the prospect of carrying many hundreds of books...

Re: User Guide
Thank you FineWine. I always was a little jumpy about certain actions - I'm not very computer ;iterate and alway worry about losing the data that has taken a long time to put together.

User Guide
I'm happy to be called an idiot but...... Is there a user guide? For various reasons I have ignored my CD collection for nearly eighteen months. I now have a quite a pile to catalogue - I still collected then - but my OCD rule is not to listen to them until I have catalogued them. I remember how to ...

Thanks Dan. I usually wait a week or two before upgrading just in case any bugs are found.

MacOS Sonoma
There was flurry of conversation when Apple upgraded to Ventura. Now we have Sonoma. Has anyone updated their Mac to the latest software and does 'Pedia play nicely with it?
Thanks for any input prior to me updating.

Re: New iMac - any tips?
Hi Finewine Thank you again for your response. The other two databases are a ToDo list and editing software, both available on the current Mac OS App Store. There are work arounds. The editing stuff could be imported into iTunes (or whatever it is called these days) and I can retype the to dos from ...

Re: New iMac - any tips?
Thanks for the info again. Sadly I have had a number of problems with the new 24" iMac. After many weekends on the phone to support I have come to the conclusion it is a poor machine and I should have waited for V2. But, I'm stuck with it now. I have already gad problems with two databases. Whi...

New iMac - any tips?
I’m about to take delivery of a new iMac in the next few week. My current 14 year old iMac is showing signs of age. I set the ‘Pedias up badly when I first installed it. I can fix that now. My wife and I will have different log in screens (we have a big difference of opinion about the dock position)...
