I'm using DVDpedia 4.5.4 on a PB G4 with 10.4.11. Never previously had any issues. Data Folder has never been moved or modified, other than typical db updating and previous Export for backup.
Just today, when attempting to complete a backup via Export, I received the following:
"Action Required - Program failed to create an archive of data folder, use Finder to make a copy of data folder"
As this has never previously occurred, any ideas about how to correct? ...Several Export attempts resulted in the same Action Required message.
DVDpedia - Failed to create Archive
Re: DVDpedia - Failed to create Archive
A follow-up...
I deleted the previous, zipped Backup file from the db folder. Upon attempting another Export backup, it worked fine. Attempted a subsequent Export backup, which this time required a replacement, and it also worked fine.
Given that the Action Required message was about inability to create an Archive, I'm not sure why deleting the previous Backup appears to be a / the solution.

Re: DVDpedia - Failed to create Archive
With Leopard we had to update the way we call the archive utility. It has to do with an incompatibility when replacing older archives created with a previous version of OS X. Normally this issue is seen when upgrading to Leopard, but it might be that 10.4.11 has caught up with Leopard in this regard and a previous archive from 10.4.10 or less was not compatible. Another possibility out of our control are permission settings that can change where you store the backup. Hence, why the double check and error message are so important when things don't go as expected when creating the backup. Glad you where able to find the fix by removing the previous backup. Thank you for all the details.
