Date Entries and other things

Post by FineWine »

1 - To make the date entry boxes default to the current system date - then you only have to click on the calendar to select a different date.

2 - Once you have selected a date from the calendar then the calendar is to close automatically.

3 - Automatically insert currency symbol as per default system settings or make it a default setting setup in Preferences.

4 - Allow Export/Import in XML format.

These suggestions to apply all bruji catalogue programs.

Cheers

1- Thanks for the suggestion. We'll keep that in mind for the future.

2- Double-clicking the date will select it and close the calendar.

3- We're thinking about adding a separate currency field to the Pedias since many users buy their media in more than one country.

4- This is already included. The .*pedia export format is XML.

I just thought I would raise this suggestion again.

I never could figure out a way to make it intuitive to not add the currency symbol for those that don't want it. Which means it would need to be a preference and that made it too complicated, a few years ago I would have added it, now we strive to avoid as much complexity as possible. If I can figure out how to make it magical and still allow for the removal of the symbol in an intuitive way, I'll be sure to add it.

Thank you Conor for your explanation.

Maybe an APPLE Inc. program guru who visits these forums might help you with this, but if you can not figure it out maybe nobody can :D
