DVDpedia hangs indefinitely

Symptoms:
DVDpedia hangs indefinitely. It may also crash after a time.

Steps to reproduce:
1: Have focus in a Smart Collection or Library view (I haven't tried non-smart collections)
2: Type Apple-J from the keyboard to bring the view fields up
3: Cancel the popup.
4: Click the View menu.
5: Observe the hang

Alternate simpler steps:
1: Click the Movie menu
2: Hit the left arrow on your keyboard to move to the View menu
3: Observe the hang

Paring down the test case yet again:
1: Just click the View menu
2: Observe the hang

This bug appears to be fixed in version 6.1 of the Pedias.
