Covers will not sync to new iPad Air

Hi guys, my first post in 10 years. Got new iPad air (gen 4) yesterday and for the life of me I cannot get any covers to sync from DVDPedia on Mac to Pocketpedia on iPad. I have tried as many relevant recommendations as I could find from this forum including deletion and reinstallation of Pocketpedia and Connor’s latest suggestion that local network is turned on in iPad Pocketpedia settings. No dice. The iPad is running iOS 14.6 and the Mac is up-to-date. Sync with my iPhone X works properly. I am at a loss.
