bookpedia Update 6.1 - repeating error message

Hi everybody,

while (trying to) updating bookpedia from 6.01 (Catalina 10.15.7) to 6.1 I repeatedly receive, after a while and during downloading the update, the message "Error during update process" (in German). I also wonder about the extremely slow speed of the download process (of the update). I saw a related post in the bug report section, but wonder whether there is an "official" and easier way to get this fixed. Thank you for your help!
