Updating The Release Date upon UPC Data

The way I add my movies to DVDpedia is by searching the Title of the disc within IMDB. I click the add movie button to then add the movie to my database. The "Release Date" field is then automatically filled with the date for the corresponding UPC. This is just a small thing but I usually change the UPC's of the DVD's in DVDpedia manually to correspond to the UPC of the DVD I own. It would be nice to have that when the "UPC" field is filled, it would automatically update the "Release Date" field. This would stop me from going in and taking another step to changing the "Release Date" field manually and also would be a neat little add-on feature I would think. I Like to keep my Release Dates according to the DVD I own because I sometimes have multiples of the same movie but are from different release dates so this field is important for me.
