template or edit for item number

I would like to export my DVD library to text or pdf for my iPhone. Is there a template that includes a number for each film? I mean, the first film is number 1, and then each next is sequential? If not, how could I edit a template to include that feature? If the file had these numbers it would be easy to see if the file is up to date with DVDPedia on my computer and also how many films have been added.

You can use the Collection ID field for this, see more in the Help under "Collection ID" for how to use it so it autoincrements.

None of the default text templates include this option currently, but just add [key:collectionID] to one of the existing templates and it should do the trick.
