statistics + scroll

Post by dvlkyrie »

DVDPedia 5.1.3 on MacPro OSX10.5.8

On the statistics page (any collection) the scroll bar is a tiny little button at the top of the page and the scroll arrows are also at the top, unlike all collection pages.

Mountain Lion OS X 10.5.8 does not have scroll arrows, so you must be using some an enhancement plugin that adds arrows that would be causing the issue.

In Lion 10.7.* & Mountain Lion 10.8.* the scroll bars are turned off by default, if you want them back on goto:

System Preferences > General > Show Scroll Bars > Always

If you are truely still using Leopard 10.5.* then as Conor says, you have an Add-on or Plug-in that is causing this. I would determine when you last saw scroll bars then remember what programs you have installed since then.

Doing a quick Google I found that some people who had Leopard and the FULL MS Office installed had a similar problem. They fixed it by un-installing MS Office, rebooted, repaired Permissions (which you will find within Disk Utility), then re-installed MS Office and did ALL MS updates.

NOTE: with Permissions I use a nifty little program called YASU, I check all the boxes, except Bookmarks, and let it do its thing. It is shareware so to get rid of the nag screen send in a donation.

How did you go?
Did my instructions help you?
If not, why?
Did you do anything different to achieve the same result?

It is polite forum etiquette to follow up other peoples answers to your questions, that way other people searching for the same answers to similar questions then have the correct information.
