MacOS 11.1
DVDpedia 6.0.1
Problem:
The Region, Video Format, and Loan Period fields cannot be given an empty value, permanently.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Empty any of the aforementioned named boxes at the bottom of the Fields preferences pane
2) Quit DVDpedia
3) Restart DVDpedia
4) Observe that DVDpedia has filled them with "1", "NTSC", or "14", respectively, despite my explicit request they be empty.
The Default Values field preferences cannot be empty
Re: The Default Values field preferences cannot be empty
Have you tried the newly released version 6.1 from the Apple App Store? This might have been fixed in this release.

No, I believe I purchased from here not the App Store.DanThe wrote:Have you tried the newly released version 6.1 from the Apple App Store? This might have been fixed in this release.

In that case, I do not know if Conor has also updated the none beta download files to version 6.1. I found out about version 6.1 at the following post.randian wrote:No, I believe I purchased from here not the App Store.

I bought these many years ago on the App Store and a few days ago I got the update notification in the App Store app.
Try one of the none beta downloads and see if they are the 6.1 versions.
Re: The Default Values field preferences cannot be empty
All the desktop apps have been updated 2 days ago to version 6.1 for Big Sur

Re: The Default Values field preferences cannot be empty
Hi radian.
I should have used the term public release download. That's what happens to me when I try to explain things late in the evening.
Since this thread is about DVDpedia, try the download public release from the DVDpedia main page (https://bruji.com/dvdpedia/) and let us know if that public release is the 6.1 version.
My bad. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: The Default Values field preferences cannot be empty
6.1 was just made available for website purchasers. 6.1 does not fix this problem.DanThe wrote:Have you tried the newly released version 6.1 from the Apple App Store? This might have been fixed in this release.
