What is the field 'Page Mark' intended for? What information should it contain - the page I have bookmarked?

I still prefer the 'Notes' field for this purpose, because it accepts several lines, and does not have Autofill enabled on it. I usually enter text like this:

pages 4, 16, 23, 123

or like this:

4: description
16: description
23: description
123: description
